Seth (my brother) got me 4 tickets to see Jason Aldean at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 15th. So Stephanie, Laura, and I drove to Houston on Wednesday morning hoping to go to Galveston to lay on the beach and relax and get some sun!
At my dads work so he could check my car out.
It wasnt sunny at all but we wore our sunglasses the whole trip
MADE IT!
But that plan failed when we got in Houston and it was raining. So we ended up doing what us girls do best....SHOPPPINGGGG. So we headed to the Galleria.
We had to go in the Disney Store, but we didnt fit in the castle :(
After shopping we went and ate dinner with Lauras older sister Amanda's house. I havnt seen her in forever so it was so great to catch up with her and meet her husband and her precious puppy!
After dinner we headed over to my Aunt Theresa's house (where we stayed) and spent the rest of the night in the hot tub having my aunt bring us different wines to taste. We talked for probably 6 hours about school, boys, our relationships, other peoples relationships, clothes, sex, drugs, alcohol, friends, parties, 21st birthday, and sooo much more! I love relaxing with my friends and catching up on our crazy busy lives.
The next day (Thursday) we woke up around 9am and decided to go to Joes Crab Shack for lunch. Laura and I could get showered and dressed in 30-45 minutes....but for stephanie it was more like 2 hours! and an hour was spent putting in hair spray and moosse for her CRAZY curly hair! haha. So while we waited for Steph, me and laura laid out in the back yard and tried to tan our white skin. After we were dressed and ready I put in Joes Crab Shack into my GPS and when we got to the location there was NOTHING there! just an old building! hahaha. it was horrible haha. but we finally found another one close by
Finally it was time to head to the rodeo.
Last year when Steph and I went we left for the rodeo at noon but had so much time that we were sitting around doing nothing for 2 hours. So this year we decided to leave around 3. Horrible idea....for those of you who have not gone to the rodeo and are planning on going. Go early! I dont care if you have to just sit around for 2 hours there with nothing to do. We had the HARDEST time trying to find a parking spot. All the parking lots where completely full, the police officers directing traffic didnt know what was going on when we asked them, and we were getting so frustrated! We finally parked in a persons private lot like 3 miles away from the Reliant Stadium in a crack/dope infested apartment complex parking lot! it was horrible! I thought we were going to get shot when we were walking back to the car after the rodeo at 11:30 at night!
Laura getting frustrated!
After our 3 mile hike in cowboy boots (they weren't made for walking) we finally got to the rodeo and did some more shopping and walked around and couldnt wait for the rodeo to start
These boots werent made for walkin
We had AMAZING seats!
We are all HUGE rodeo fans so during the whole rodeo we would yell for every single person during every single event! Im pretty sure everyone around us was pissed at us haha but oh well we were having a blast and making memories!
Then Jason Aldean came on and we stood up and sang every song! and tried to get on the big screen when they showed people from the audience. When he sang the song "Fly Over States" (if you havnt heard it, its a must hear song) they were showing different places on the map and nacogdoches showed up on the screen! we yelled so loud! it was sooo coool! hahaha.
Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson!
After we hiked back to the car, we spent over an hour trying to get out of the parking lot!! With me having a low tolerance for rude people, this car was backing up almost about to hit us, Steph was honking, and this girl yells out "Chill the fuck out we aint gunna hit you" and I was like "Whats the fucking point you aint going to get know where you fucking retard!" ahaha Stephanie had the roll my window up before I started something hahaha.
As we were trying to get out of the parking lot, my GPS thought we were going to slow to be driving
This was such a wonderful and relaxing spring break! I love spending time with Stephanie and Laura all we do is laugh so hard we cry! Which we did a lot of! I've known these girls since diapers and we will still know each other when were in diapers again (if we still have memory to know each other that is) This was a trip we will never forget.
