New Years Resolutions

I am absolutely horrible at New Years Resolutions but this year I really want to say that I have finished a New Years Resolution. So here is my list of things I want to accomplish this year.

1. Get tan.

This past summer I was so proud of how tan I got before we went on our beach trip. When summer was over and the cold weather set in, I stopped tanning and looking back at my beach pictures its kind of a heart break.

2. Eat Healthier

I feel like this is on everyone's New Years Resolution lists, but I am really bad about eating too much fast food or cooking really greasy foods. So I have been a go-to Pinterest kind of girl lately getting really healthy foods to cook and which foods to cut out of my everyday eating habits. This one if going to be a challenge for me since I keep a full jar of M&Ms on my counter.

3.  Be A Better Girlfriend

I love spoiling Brett. I love cooking for him and cleaning up after him and the best part is how much he appreciates it. He always lets me know how good of a cook I am and how good of a girlfriend I am. But lately i've been kind of slacking at my other roll as a girlfriend, his cheerleader. I dont give Brett the amount of applause he deserves. Hes good at so many things and I feel like I dont give him enough credit. So that is something I really need to work on since he is truly one amazing boyfriend.

4. Listen To My Parents More

Both me and my brothers are very stubborn and we get it from our dads. We hate being told how to do things its always let me do it how I want and if I fail then ill come to you. Which it shouldn't be that way, parents know a lot more about life lessons than we do, which is something I learned from my parents. haha. So I just need to sit back, take a breath, and let them talk first before I try things on my own. Parents really have the best wisdom for sure!

5. Be A Better Lumberjack

I have awful school spirit. One thing I have ALWAYS been horrible supporting my school. So since this is more than likely my last year at Stephen F. Austin I have decided to improve my school spirit. Is it sad that I have not been to one single football, basketball, soccer, cross country, or tennis game since I first came to SFA. Yeah pretty bad I know, so with all that said..... GO LUMBERJACKS!!!

6. Save More Money

I always say that I am going to start saving my money or stop spending it on unnecessary things, well in the past that only lasted until I saw the fast food sign in front of me haha. So this is going to be a challenge for me and they only way I know how to fix this problem is not taking my debit card with me if I feel the need to go shopping, or leaving it in the car. Lets see if I can last longer than a day on this one.

7. Live A Little

Lately my life revolves around my job. I wake up at 5am, get dressed for work, go to work for 8-10 hours, come home, clean, cook dinner, go to sleep, wake up, and do it all over again.  No where in their is their me time or fun time. My plan is to take the weekends off and start having a little fun and traveling, which will bring me to number 8 on my list....

8. Travel

I've always been a huge fan of traveling. I love sightseeing and exploring and learning new things about places. However since all I do is work I have had no time to travel to new places. In the last 2 months I actually have been trying to work in trips with Brett to new places like Austin, a new part of Dallas, and casinos in Lousiana. Those have been so much fun and I get made fun of by my friends because I act like a kid in a candy store, just overcome with excitement. Its always so much fun!

9.  Blog More

So as you have noticed I have been a horrible blogger the 2nd part of 2012. I just got really busy with school and work and taking on a new position that its been tough to sit down at the computer and blog about whats going on. So I have made it a point to blog at least once every week if not more.

10.  Use my Creativity

Ever since I was little I was always drawing and helping my mom decorate, and nothing has changed now that i'm in my 20's. Not only do I love it, I pretty good at it if I can say so myself. Now that I have my own place away from roommates (which I miss dearly dont get me wrong) I can now do what I want with my place without having to see if it is okay or not. Christmas was my first holiday where my house was completed and I could now decorate. It was so much fun and I can't wait for Valentines day, St. Patricks Day, Easter, Summer,Brett's Birthday, My Birthday (yes it is a holiday), Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and EVERYTHING else in between!
*Be ready for my Valentines Day Decorating Special that I will post soon!*

Well I feel like that is plenty to keep me busy throughout Twenty Thirteen. Let see when I blog at the end of the year to see how well I did hahaha.

Happy New Year!
