Lazy Sunday!

Today me and mom went to church and had a great service about failure! 

Then we decided to go grab lunch so we ate at Clear Springs and ordered a salad which was HUGE! we couldnt even finish half of it. 

An then we went to go bathe our horses. We were going to do this yesterday but I was to cold with the wind blowing and it being 53 degrees so we decided to hold off until today. I probably should of wore rain boots but i didnt so all my jeans were soaked with mud! So i pretty much took a mud bath! 

After we bathed them we let them out into the field to graze a little bit in the sun so they could dry off and they were so soft and smooth! People usually dont bathe there horses every other week in the spring and summer but I do, I HATE a dirty horse that i cant even touch with out my hand being covered in dirt. And so I bathe them all the time but I always get compliments on how pretty and shinny they are so it pays off in the long run.

After they dried off I was talking to my dad about the trail ride coming up and how I was excited about riding them. Then he was like go get Sharlit and get on her. And I was like "I dont want to drag all the saddles and bridles and stuff out just to ride for 30 minutes. So he went and got Sharlit and was like get on. So I rode around bareback. I've ridden bareback before like 1000 times on my aunts horses but never on ours. I was nervous a bit because Sharlit nor Shellie have ever had someone on there backs without a saddle but I knew she wouldnt do anything. So i hopped on and dad tied her lead rope to her halter so I had some reigns. To be honest I would chose riding bareback over a saddle, saddles are the most UNCOMFORTABLE thing to sit on and it makes your butt and knees hurt so bad! So Im so excited that Sharlit did so good riding bareback so now when ever I want I can go ride her without dad having to be there to throw a 60 pound saddle on her back for me. (Im probably the weakest person I know). 

After that we came home and mom and I laid out in the back yard on lawn chairs soaking up the sun and this beautiful Lazy Sunday! I love great weather like today! esp on a Sunday!
